I have a 1970 Viking 9.6 outboard (power head by Chrysler). The recoil spring is complete and unbroken, but is just misshapen enough that it binds inside the tube when it gets tensioned up. Does anyone know where to get a new one or if the existing one can be reshaped? Thanx for any help.
