no spark

Need a year for the motor or model number. Also, how do you know there is no spark before and after the coil change. What test did you do?

its a 77 ,used a auto spark tester ck'ed ground now lets back up i had the tilt llever kicked so i have spark but after coil repl. had no spark on the coil i did not repl. cked it had pulse from pwr pac and ground @ coil is this just a coisidense or did i mess up somehow repl. coil ?
