I have a 50 HP Honda outboard. When engaging forward it sounds like the gear is not meshing but when selecting reverse the gear engages no problem. This happened after the prop became entangled in a rope. The prop shaft looks to have come out of the gearbox housing by about 2.5 mm.
Any ideas if there is a quick fix for this problem?
