Tb iv ign mod test

Anyone know if you can test the ign mod box out of the system resistance test,

if you have a triangular plate I can measure one I have

what type ign, motor and year?

sorry took so long to get back its a 1987 260 tb 4 ign mod and is square

thanks for your reply it is the square one i do have 2 triangle ones would like to find resistance test for those to see if there god or bad .

give me a day to read them, I have both. You could just hook them up to a pre dist, coil and a battery
Will post the results using a simpson 260 meter

thanx bt doc will you note rm,temp at test, will try to test ones i have befor tomorrow but dont know wire to wire and scale you will test on.

shop temp 84 test made with Simpson 260 meter on r x 100 scale, no polarity found ( leads one way, leads reversed) 3 known good modules measured
triangular unit black to white w/ red stripe 1500ohms
black to white w/ green stripe 2200 ohms
black to purple 1500 ohms
white w/ red to white w/ green 100,000 ohms
black to grey 0

Square module box black to white w/ green stripe 2500 ohms
black to white w/ red stripe 480 ohms
white w/ red to white w/ green 2200 ohms
black to purple 380 ohms
black to gray 0

I should point out that passing an ohms test on a complex module like this does not guarantee the module is functioning, however, failing the test by more than 20% likely indicates an issue.

I Have complete thunderbolt IV everything practically new maybe a trip or two. I went to Delco voyager ign. system. Let me know if you end up needing it Ill let it go cheap
