I have a 22 ft Bayliner that needs to have some backup. I was looking at putting a Minnkota 160 lb. thrust electric on the lower unit. It mounts to the cavatation plate. I was hoping someone would have some experience with this set up and could give me some advice, pros and cons, before I purchase. I don't want to drill holes in the plate if it's not going to perform well.
