Hi! I need some help with my Edelbrock 1409 marine [FONT=arial, sans-serif]carburetor. Last year it worked perfect, but this season it have been a lot of trouble. It seems like it works perfect but when i drive over 3000 rpm and then stop, the engine gets "stuck" at 2000 rpm. Then I stop my engine, and when I start it again it idle´s perfect at 800 rpm.

Have anybody had this problem before, or know what it could be?

This is a GM 350 v8 engine.

Thanks -Salbu

It sounds like the linkage on the carb is getting stuck? Or, it could be the control cable? With the engine off, take off the control cable, and try opening the throttle, and releasing it to see if it's the carb, then with the control cable off take that to full throttle, & back to see if that's the issue instead?

Thanks for the quick answer. :)
I don´t know what you mean with "the linkage", but I know that it is not the control cable, because I have installed a spring to pull the gas leaver on the carb all the way back, and this works fine.
