old boat & engine

Good day to all! I'm totally new on this or any other forum. I have a question about Volvo penta engine MD 1. It is forty plus years old, and it was in use last time fifteen years ago. Since then we had it in a garage. My question is what are preparations before I try to get it running.
 
Did you ever get responses on this ? And did you succeed?
I have one in my small sailboat that has stopped - I can't turn the flywheel even with a crowbar.
