Opnion on a new trolling motor ???

I just purchased an 1989 Champion Bass boat, It presently has a Minn Kota 80lb thrust trolling motor with a standard foot control. My question is, With the boat being a 1989 model, the foot control space is very limited due to the seat post mounting hole in the front deck. I recently had back surgery so I can no longer stand while I fish. I have tried an offset seat post in the front deck attempting to give me a little more room to operate the foot control of the trolling motor and I am having zero luck with this issue. I am looking to replace the trolling motor with a model that I can operate while remaining seated on the front deck. I looked at the possibility of a hand controlled model. I searched bass pro shops and found a poor selection of models as I would prefer to have a 36 volt setup with 100 lbs of thrust or more. Should I be looking at an Ipilot type set up or some thing else ?? Thanks for any advise !!!
