2002 4.3 Liter Mercruiser specs

Hi: I am a Nubie here. Can someone tell me how much horsepower the 2002 4.3 L Mercruiser produced. Will it push a 19' shallow draft deck boat in a reasonable fashion or is this under-powered. My gut tells me under-powered. I don't expect it to perform like our Switzer (260 hp 5.7 liter) but should it out-run a pontoon.

Thanks for any opinions.
 
Is it carbed or efi?
If carbed is it a 2 barrel or 4 barrel carb?

I would say that this is not underpowered but may be marginal.
Best guess would be 50 mph at 4800 rpms....
 
I agree, from all the research I've done, the 4.3 is no slouch, it is 3/4 of a 5.7 V8, what it loses in power, it gains in less friction of the extra 2 cylinders. This makes it peppy, but best used in lighter boats, it is not designed for heavier boats, unless used in a twin motor configuration. I think the latest version is 210hp at the prop. It will push most 18-20' boats to 45-50mph.
