Newbie here, I have a 1985 DT40 that only starts when it wants to. One time it will have spark, come back an hour later and it doesn't. This also happens vise versa. The previous owner had installed an aftermarket key switch which I have gone back to the OEM one. I have read in many threads that the CDI unit rarely goes bad so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or could direct me in the right direction of what to test.
