hello ,i was wondering if anyone knows if crankshafts are interchangeable in the 470 mercruiser from another motor of earlier year,i have two motors and doing a rebuild and that one is a 1986,i have a spare that i picked up not exactly sure of the year but was told late 70s ,he said 78, i see the difference in cam water pump impeller but the crank looks the same been looking all over the net to verify but just cant seem to find anything .does anyone have info on this thanks .
