Hi Guys,
I ran my 1997 GT-40 yesterday all morning without a problem, but after lunch I took it out and it stalled and would not start again. It would turn over nicely but would just not kick in. So not a battery issue. I put it back in the water this morning and it started just fine but when in neutral with the throttle applied it would squeal like crazy and then the belt where it connected to the alternator would start to smoke lightly (from friction). The belt got super hot so I pulled the boat out of the water and back on the trailer.
I did take a video of the squealing to show you what happens, but is this a bad alternator, or is it something I can fix easily?

Thanks a bunch!
