Need help!! Local shops will not help me.

I have been on my local shops to help me to get the parts I need to convert my 99 BF9.9 from a tiller to remote steering. They always say they will call me back but after two days I call them and they state "man, we haven't had a chance to look and probably won't for a while as we are real busy". What happened to customer service? I know they use to make a kit to do the conversion but I can't find it but I would be happy if they would help me even look at the parts catalog to pick out which parts I need to convert it individually instead of a kit but they will not. I guess since I don't have a mega money motor they don't want to waste their time on me. Oh well, any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

Years ago there was a kit that even had a solinoid for an electric choke.

I am not sure that it is available any more. The following pieces will get you remote control, depending on the extent that you want it. I hope they make sense.

Control cables http://marine.honda.com/parts/accessories/categories/control-cables based on length needed.

I will see if I can find the old paper instructions for the kit...that might list a part number.

Awesome!!! That's exactly what I was needing. This is gong on a sailboat so all I need is the throttle and gear to be operative. The steering of the outboard is linked to my rudder. Thanks so much for the help, I will be ordering it today.
