merc 75 2 cycle 4 cyl. idle speed??

tring to get this motor to idle in gear. need to know the idle speed. the lowest I can get it to troll is 950-1000 rpm. anything lower and it cuts off. had it checked out locally. it ran fine that day! in the water, it won't idle lower than 950. I'm going to idle it up a little so I go fishing, it will shut off coming to the launch area lower than 950 rpm. any suggestions????????
 
just got this boat/motor this spring. changed lower unit oil. new plugs, wires, new prop. I'll try the seafoam. I'm not messing with the carbs. I mess around with my mustang's 5.0 I built but this 2 cycle intimidates me.
 
just got back from trip south(funeral)gonna work on the merc this week. any one need a 13x15p four blade solaras prop cheap? it's new used twice. should work on a heavy boat.
 
should I spray the carbs with seafoam? used it on my 88 thunderbird turbo. it blew black deposits from the tailpipe big time! it ran better with just that one application. it works!
