Hello, this is a 2000 Evinrude 9.9 or 10hp, E10EL4SSE motor. I noticed oil on the lower portion port spark plug side of the head after it was running for a while but can't really tell where it is coming from, I can also see a little oil puddling in the groove right under the lower plug but it doesn't seem to be coming from the plug hole area. Could the head gasket be leaking oil? Maybe need to be re/torqued? Its not like the oil is gushing out or anything like that but the lower portion of the head area is getting oil wet. I haven't even pulled the valve cover off yet, just pulled the tower side covers off tonight. I wanted to get some advise first. The motor was sitting for about 7 years but after I cleaned the carb, changed the oil, and put a new impeller in it it fired right up and runs great. Thanks in advance for any advise.
