Losing voltage after leaving dock.. Has shore power with battery charger...13.5 volts leaving dock... coming back at night with lights, sonar and radio after an hour drive down to 11 volts..... New batteries this year and new alternator last year.... Help.. Any thoughts on a typical problem for this. Refrigerator turned off. keep second battery off.. but can't take long cruise with this issue...

1 get rid of the charger, you don't need it for engine batteries. When on a night run with all the lights and load you must see atleast
13.6 14.0 Volts or the alt is not doing its job.

In order to be sure of what you see on your DASH volt meter you must confirm at the battery first with a hand held volt meter.

If the voltage at the battery is correct then you have a weak connection somewhere.

It is not uncommon for the dash meter to reflect a weak connection when many accesorries on.
