Hi, have a problem with my boat motor Chrysler 42 HB 4 HP , i can not figure out - what oil to put to the benzin, what mark is better for this motor. What oil should i put to distribution place near the helix/screw. And how to understand if pumps is working right?
Hopefully some one could help me, the motor is very old, i got it from my grandad, and i am afraid i will do something wrong

What's a benzin? mark ??

IF??? The motors sat for any length of time. Change the pump impeller .
 
Sorry about my english. Yes, motor serial is 1217. what oil to put to the benzine/petrol and which oil you recommend me to buy, which one will suite me best
 
You need to buy any oil made for mixing with gas that's TCW-3
IF you get any TCW-2 it's not good for the motor.
Mark, make or brand.

Have one more question, in what proportion should i mix oil with benzine, 1:50 or 1:100? And how to understand if the cooling system is working right?(what should i see visually when everything is working correct and where/how?) because there is two types of cooling system: the water one and the pneumatic/air.

Some of the 4's used a 50-1 ratio and some used a 100-1
Using the 50-1 will insure you don't burn it up.
1 pint to 6 gal of gas.
