Hello, i have yamaha 40hp and last week broke this part in mine engine 93440-62057-00 CIRCLIP,OUTER still i cant understands how... And im mechanical its my job.. But i have like a illnes about how can be posssible this, and this broken part went to 3rd cylinder and the segemnts dead and losen compression i ll change all pistons..segments, this clips and the up and dow bearing, all of joint set about this engine obviosly but im affraid if will happend again, when i open the engine was a lot of salt in cooling system and the impeller in down speed didnt work good but alawys wa going out water not in so good pressure, warm alarm never sounds and works because one time sound because the termostat was bad and i change but i dont thing this was because the engined was so hot, some one can imagine why this clip broken?
