90hp vro

High guys just got my hands on this outboard and trying to start,have a pretty new battery but just kicks over and no more what size of battery would you reccomend.

good marine battery...lets look at the battery you have..it should read 12.7 volts fully charged with no load...it has to turn the motor a minimum of 300 rpm for the engine to fire....you may have a voltage drop between the battery positive post and the starter if you are not turning good...a bad connection/dirty/corroded wire is usually the problem...same with the negative post..you may need a new battery and may not..
we have no idea how old this motor is or the history but its got to turn good to get started..then the compression and spark has to be checked before anything else...

recharged battery and engine fired up after a couple of splutters but going well now(stop start) no problem cheers.
