    Default velvet drive transmission

Can I pull the velvet drive transmission 72c while boat is in the water? Twin 351 PCM engines 84 Cruisers Inc Avanti Vee. I believe I have a bad drive plate. The engine is running on all eight ,the clunking sound goes away above 1100 rpm's. Where can I find a new drive plate to fit the engine ,transmission combination.

I've done it on a 318 with a 71C to replace the drive plate. I was fortunate enough to have access to a heavy duty tripod w/ hand winch that setup on the deck over the motor. Used it to support the motor while doing the work.
