Nissan 30hp 2 stroke

I have a 30hp Nissan 2 stroke, I'm not sure of the year and was wondering how to tell the difference between a 30a3 and 30a4. The identification plate is missing. Thanks for any help
 
Nissan Marine might be able to help you if you had a serial number. Absent that, if you need to do a repair, review the perts catalogs to be sure you match up the exact part you need. The A3 vs A4 differences are in the magneto ignition. The A4 does not have a pulser coil.
