just took the cover off the 85 merc 50hp 4 cyl 2 stroke outboard. she started right up, more smoke than usual from fogging oil from winterization. she ran well for 5-10mins. shut her down. then a couple days later I went out to start again and nothing. wouldn't fire. she would only fire on starting fluid. ok fuel issue. getting fuel to carbs. took carbs off an tore down and the fuel pump gaskets and components were all coated in oil. did the oil seperate in the tank over the winter? is it from fogging oil? any one ever have this issue?
