4stroke overheating

I have a 2009 25hp tohatsu 4 stroke trying to figure ou an oveeheating issue. New water pump new t stat. I start motor remove thermostat and water comes out trough hole. But exh presure is coming in from other thermostat ooutletcould the exh be crack. Anybody had this issue
 
yep, I bet you have a corrosion hole somewhere or a blown gasket.

my old motor died because of a hole in the head passageway

double check your oil and make sue you don't ha water mixing with the oil
 
Might still not be pumping right. If you are getting exhaust from the telltale, the exhaust pressure is more than the water pressure. As for a corroded/leaking gasket, etc... If you do a leak-down test and it is low, you can listen for where the leakage comes out (crankcase, intake, exhaust, cooling system, etc.)
 
The water flow with earmuffs on and engine running with tstat remove looking at passage were tstat sits. The flow is slow should it be higher. How can I test pump flow
 
Best to test it in the water. Muffs need a LOT of water to work on a 25/30, and the sub-strainer must be blocked with duct tape or similar.
