fuel leak

2004 Mercury 50 horse Bigfoot,4 stroke. Boat and motor were stored all Winter. Started today. Ran fine. However I noticed fuel leaking through the overflow hole located directly below the trim switch on the port side. Leaks when the fuel line bulb is squeezed and while the engine is running. Any help would be appreciated.

Check all the fuel lines for having a loose connection or ruptured line. Pumping the primer bulb when doing this will make it easier. You'll have to find out where it's coming from.

thanks for the reply. already tried that, the only leak is coming out the vent on the left side.comes out in a steady stream if bulb is squeezed or engine is running. I'm thinking it is a stuck float somewhere as the boat and motor were stored for the last 6 months. Is there a float I can get to without professional help?
