Year and possible modelnnumber of my 70HP VRO?

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and new to self-servicing my outboardmotor (which is the main reason for joining this forum).
I have had this boat (Sunbird 150SPL) and engine (70HP VRO) for 3 years now and it's time to service it.

I did replace the gear oil (hope that's the right term for it) in 2011 and also the impellor with help from a befriended car-mechanic, but that's all that has been done to it.

Now I am looking to buy a service manual and find some parts here and there, but I really need to know the year and model number to be sure I get the correct parts.

The boats is from 1989, but I can't be sure about the motor. Could be older, could be newer. My guess is it's also from 1989 but how can I be sure? I assume having the modelnumber helps, but I can't find it anywhere.

What I did find is a number on the curburetors.



Looks like: 432909 MX 21 F N

Is this enough to ID my motor?

I have a 1990 motor with a cowling like that.----They were all quite similar in the late 80's

Are there any other numbers somewhere that can identify year and model# ?
