BF60's only the oil pressure light goes on and does not start

I have 2 bf 60's however there's a problem with the one....

Out at sea, the port motor beeped twice and did and refused to start again. Only the green oil pressure light, lights up, but the starter turns over, and nothing else. (I've tried the dealer, but they don't know and it's a 250km drive to get the boat there)

Any assistance will be appreciated.

First thing to do is check the fuses.

There are some very specific tests after that, that check the voltages going to and from the main relay and then to the ECM.

Being that far from a dealer, I would invest in a Shop Manual, so you can follow the troubleshooting steps. Thanks for the reply Mike

Checked the fuses - All's fine

But found the problem - a connection at the control box corroded off, cleaned and re-connected and problem solved

Having only one motor in South Africa is a issue as we do surf-launching right off the beach... lucky all's up and running again.

Thanks
Leon
