2000 115 reed valve replacement

Hello everyone, I am getting ready to replace my reed valves on my 2000 115 elpto motor. I was just wondering if anyone has done this job and can give me any tips/tricks to save time (or even headache, haha) thanks in advance.

Reed valves rarely cause a problem.--So why are you replacing them?------Possibly some high performance composite ones ?
 
Great to hear that Jeff. Im hoping to remove all the carbs (keep them linked together) so that I wont have adjustments to make after install. Then you unbolt the intake manifold to acess the reeds. Does this sound accurate?
 
Yup. Be careful not to allow ANYTHING to get into that exposed interior. And Lock Tite every bolt that could work its way loose and be ingested.
