I have an 89 Maxum with the 5.0 Mercruiser motor. I recently replaced the coil, rotor, distributor cap, and optic sensor. I took it out on the water last weekend and it sat and idled at the dock for 10 mins and as I was getting out of the no wake zone I went to give it gas and it died. Then I couldn't keep it running to get back to the dock. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
 
I have a new filter coming tomorrow. But it seems like it isn't getting fuel. It fires right up, but it then dies after about 15-30 seconds

Ayuh,.... If it's got an electric fuel pump, check the oil pressure switch that powers it,...
