I recently inherited a 1977 Formula 20-cl that has been sitting in the dry dock since '93. Water built up inside because the drain plug wasn't pulled so the water got up to the bottom of the alternator. Luckily the dipstick showed no real signs of water in the oil or did the power steering show water either and that was completely under water. I believe that the motor is a GM V8 350 and the drive is a TR. I haven't worked on a strendrive before only outboards.

Any info would be helpful.

If the hull is good and you like it, remove all the old hardware(Drive, engine and transom assembly) and install new Bravo equipment from Merc.

The boat is in awesome condition just need a little dusting. Not really looking to rip everything out and place new stuff in it. Got it for free and trying to keep the expenses to a minimum.
