6hp oil light question

I have a Tohatsu 6MFS6C, less than 100 hrs, operated in salt water. Engine runs very well. I recently started using the engine at night. I noticed the oil pressure warning light is on, but very dim. It is not visible in daylight. Oil (FC-W 10W-30) level is good. The light is very bright and visible in daylight for a few seconds when starting the engine. Do I have an oil pressure problem, or maybe a bad light/sender?

Sounds like there is a slight electrical "leak" that is partially grounding the oil light trigger wire. Could be some salt residue -- either in/near the LED, or in/near the wire at the sender. For that matter, it could be a marginally-faulty sensor. Clean/flush the LED wiring and the terminal end of the sender, and see if that corrects the dim light. If not, see your dealer.... You may be in warranty.
