Modern Steering to Old Motor

Is there an adapter that allows the connection of a modern push pull system to a 1950's outboard? I want to hook up my 58 Bigtwin to my 16' aluminum boat using rotary steering.

Sounds like a problem I have, I have a 71 50hp hydro-electric engine which I am fitting to my 20ft day boat, it has a splashwell cable mount and I have a new seastar steering cable, what part do I need to connect end of cable to the engine?

You need to fabricate an adapter using a tilt tube ( same part on many models / years ) from a newer motor.---Bolt it to the transom and you need a drag link as well.-----Or hurry to your friendly boat shop for a kit.
