I find myself in need of a new, or secondhand block. Any suggestions for suppliers would be appreciated. Is there a car block that would serve the purpose? Thanks.

Ayuh,..... I'm guessin' it's a SBC,..?? either a 305, or a 350,..??

A pickup motor from a boneyard will Work,...
Brass core plugs is 'bout the only difference 'tween a truck motor, 'n a boat motor,...

An OMC 230hp is I think a marine version of a 327 cu in Chevy motor. All external Chevy 305, & 350, parts should fit.
