Cobra Shift Cable Installation

Ok guys, I can't seem to find this answer on here... I've got the outdrive off and the new shift cable in place. I cant seem to figure out how to get the drive end of the shift cable screwed into the part I think is called the pivot housing. Now that there's a cable attached, I can't fit a socket on it and everytime I try to use a wrench there just isn't much room to get it in there and I seem to spin it right out of the threads.

Any tips or tricks on how to get this done??? It's a 88 VIP with the 4.3L and the Cobra Outdrive.

Get the manual. There is a lot you have to do to set this up. You will also need a scale to check the LBS of resistance on the bell crank.
