The boat may be only 26ft but looks much like a short 34ft boat. I am trying to decide on rigging with an 8.2 gas Mercruiser our a diesel with an outdrive. I have located a Volvo K42 Kompressor 230HP with a Duo Prop outdrive. My question is how will the two power plants compare and can the Volvo Diesel be stepped up to make more power if necessary?
