i have 50 hp auto-lube model DETO it gives me numbers 6H5 L so i checked it it says 1983 but another sticker says 1999 on it the serial number is 521610-T when i check for the letter t it says year 2000 anyone any idea
 
Generally a sticker on the motor will give the month/year of manufacture e.g. 05/99. A motor made from May 1999 thru April 2000 is usually a 2000 model year motor. Yamaha discontinued the use of model years here in the USA in 2005.
