I bought my 1986 tiara 7 years ago and have no idea how old the electronic ignition is. I know its not original. I'm considering buying a new module for a spare then wondered if I should buy 2new ones and install them then keep the old ones as spares. Also wondering if I should not fix it if its not broke. Are those modules something that loses strength as they age or they either work or they don't. What are your thoughts?

Ayuh,.... The Beauty of electronic ignition is it lasts darn near forever, or til it quits,...

If it's runnin' Fine,... leave it be,...

2X on don't mess with it...electronics do "age" but not enough to worry about on the ignition modules...

Having a spare on board is always a good idea...just make sure you get the advance curve correct BEFORE buying a replacement.
