Boat newbie here, questions about King Cobra engine

I am a casual boating enthusiast looking to make my first purchase. It is a 96 four winns 258 with a King Cobra. I can not find much information on the 7.4 KC. Can anyone assist? Thank you.

Thanks for being gentle on a newb. What is OMC. I did not see a King Cobra thread so I posted in the main engines that I know of. What is OMC? I take it then King Cobra is an OMC product?

I just want to know if I am buying something that is no longer supported, will be hard to support, has issues, or is a good runner.

Ayuh,.... OMC is Outboard Marine Corp, which went belly up, over a decade ago,....
