Where can I get a replacement key switch for a chrysler control box.. Also ,any links for control box and wiring diagrams,,,have a 79 115.. Thanks for the help

Chrysler/Force only used 5 different keys.
A-E any Mercury dealer, maybe an old Force dealer should have them.
Just take the control box to them and try the different keys.

Try this site?
Or Franz Marine.
Any Mercury dealer can get it for you.
The control box might have a shorter switch.
Is it in the dash or the box?
A generic switch might NOT work.
A pic always helps.

A '79 4 cylinder Chrysler uses a "hot" ignition circuit; ie. you apply a voltage to the ignition unit to energize it like an automotive system..in fact the early ones used a similar coil and breaker points. Therefore an inboard engine type switch will work if you can fit it into the box. Some Chrysler switches had provision for a ground-out circuit so the same switch could be used with their two-cylinder engines with magneto ignitions.

here's an idea go away from the key theory, iv broken so many keys its not funny, and changed the keys/starter on control box, so iv gone away from that, iv installed 3x switches, 1x flick switch(on/off) for egnition, 1x push button for choke, 1x push button for starter to turn motor over untill it starts. so initially you would flick your switch on, then you would push both push buttons on untill it starts, and when you want to turn off your motor you just flick the switch in off position, and when starting while motor is warm just 1x push start button. fun times and no hassles with breaking keys and faulty key ignition starter, in australia those parts cost around $50aud ignition and 2x keys.
