...treating alloy corrosion!

I guess we've all seen them...those blisters under the paint that turn into a hole when you scrape them out with a screwdriver?
I'm hoping someone may have had success at treating this issue.
The ones that are concerning me at the moment are where the driveshaft bellows attach... covering the lurgy up with sealant is not going to stop the rot I suspect.
It would be great to findout there is a pruduct that will treat these patches by neutralising the salt or whatever is eating the metal away.
Your thoughts please. Bazza.
 
i work in avation. you can look up treating corrosion online it is a picking solution perty nasty but it works, then fill in with metal set contour and top coat with epoxy primer.
 
...cheers for that, pickling takes on awhole new meaniing and not an onion in sight!...you're right about nasty, but I'l do it as I want a longterm fix. Barry
