Brian - by that production number you have a 1990 model. The date is not encoded into it so it could have been sold as a "brand new" model anytime between 1990 when it came off the line and mid 1994 when they made a few minor changes. Merc are grouped into "model runs" as far as parts go, the actual year of production is not all that important.
