this 69 evinrude has no shifter to disconect when u pull the lower unit off?? its a 55973c 55 hp just a

Well, it does have wires that you need to disconnect.-Look for them at the back of the motor.----The connecters are covered with a rubber boot.----Wires are green and blue.----You attach something to those wires so that on re-assembly you can pull them back up-
