Oil Filter?

I just bought a bf9.9a and was doing some reading about winterizing it is a 2006 and don't have a oil filter. I guess hat means it was not made in the USA. other than changing the oil and doing the lower unit is there anything I should do?
 
Thermostat and water pump. These can cause you plenty of problems if you don't keep them maintained.

Hondas also really like a good, clean, fresh, properly gapped set of NGK plugs to keep the firing voltages down in a place where the coils aren't stressed. Keeping fresh plugs in your Honda will help your ignition system live a long and happy life.

But, cooling system maintenance, BY THE BOOK, is one of the cheapest forms of insurance you can buy for ANY brand of outboard.

Last 9.9 A made was in 1999. It might have a 2006 sticker on it, since it met the 2006 epa standards.

It is possible that it might be a later year, if not in the USA, but I do not think it would be a 2006.

Post the serial number on the frame and I will try to zero in for you.
