omc stringer

big bobo.... i'm actually doing the same thing on my omc 400 stringer. i'm currently waiting on the stainless snap ring for the shaft, so i can re install the whole works ... and KimCrbr1 is right it's labor intensive but obviously not impossible. i only have one question and that is where does the large o-ring go?

I struck out at all the local parts houses and can't seem to find a part number for that stainless steel snap ring (seal retainer) on the water pump shaft. Anyone got a life line?
