Good evening
New member here. I used the search function to no avail. Please excuse me if this has been covered.
I am interested in finding and purchasing a palmer pb 215 marine engine. I am a certifiable Land Rover Nut LOL. And since the Rover v-8 are based on the Buick 215 I thought this would be perfect for me.
In 63' (the only info/pics i could find) were these offered in a sterndrive I/O option vs shaft drive?
If not is there an adapter plate the would allow this engine to mate with say a merc bravo/alpha drive?
I understand that I may have to machine my own adapter.
I would either rebuild/modify the existing 215 or purchase a new high performance 4.6 rover motor from my guy in oklahoma and recondition the marinised parts from the palmer.
This may seem foolish, but it strikes me as a interesting project.
