2001 Yamaha 225 fuel injection ,bypassing oil injection

Its an OX66 ,Had a guy rebuild it and it would run good for a while then drop around 500 RPM ,Finally burn't a hole in one of the pistons .I'm assuming the injectors can't pass the thicker oil when premixed then, and that would explain the problem. or is it something else

Can the oil injection be bypassed with out computer brain issues.
Absolutely positively yes. In an OX66 the oil is premixed with the gasoline automatically. It does this by injecting oil into the VST where it mixes with gasoline. The oil/gasoline mixture is then pumped by the electric fuel pump to the fuel injection rail and then on to the fuel injectors. The system is very reliable. Although many have gone to premixing oil in the fuel in the boat tank it is not recommended. You will be over oiling a lot of the time.
