2005 DF250 30" convert to 25"?

Anyone have any idea what is involved in converting a DF250 from a 30" shaft to a 25"? Is it as simple as removing the extension section and putting a new driveshaft on?

Close but not quite!! Yes to removing the spacer. You will have to cut and weld or replace deiveshaft, water tube and shift rod. Also the studs that go through the spacer will be removed and screw's will be installed. Thank's Martin
