What is a CD voltmeter? Are they still available? What do they cost?

I want to do some (running) ignition tests on an Evinrude with CD ignition. The factory manual is calling for a "CD Voltmeter" and suggests several brands. I'm doubtful that they are still available and I don't even want to ask what one might cost. I do have a fancy meter (made by Fluke) that will read peak voltage (+ or -).....is that what a CD voltmeter does??

A DVA meter is simply a peak-reading voltmeter. An ordinary voltmeter can't react fast enough to record the rapid voltage changes (peaks). A peak reading meter saves and records those peaks. Sounds like you are good to go.
