I am thinking of buying a sailboat with a 1977 4 cyl Lehman that is leaking oil from rear main seal. My question is, does the oil pan/ rear main bearing need to be dropped to change this, or, its changed from the bell housing, as was told to me by the boat owner. thanks to all that reply
