1998 40hp Force replacement trim & tilt

I'm working on a 1998 40ELPT serial # 0E310781. The trim motor is shot and the pump looks bad too. Can I use a 1992-94 Force trim and tilt assembly to replace this one. They look very similar.
 
From what I see in the parts diagrams.
It's a completely different outfit.
The early ones were a mix of Mercury and Force.
The 98 is all Mercury.
Mercury pumps are the better one's. The pump might still be good?
Post some pics of the old.Someone might have something laying around.
