40hp outboards

Allot, :p the rule of thumb for gasoline 2 cycle is 10% of rate hp per hour at WOT. so in theory your 40hp would use 4 gal per hour at Wide open throttle, That being said there are many variables that effect the real world out come,
 
my theory has always been to go to WOT then back off the throttle to just before the timing starts to retard, speed feels about the same but I swear I get a tad better fuel economy on my old loopers :confused: but honestly this year was a bust, nobody but daddy deep pockets tourny fisher on the river with his basstastic 9000 pushed by a super hoot Yamgrabber 300 4 trickel,
Dang I need one of those and the chick that goes with it :p
